Rachel Knoester
Gippsland based artist Rachel Knoester aims to communicate her experience of day to day rural life and the warmth of connection to animals and the countryside around her.
She paints with an expressive impressionist style using mixed media, acrylic, charcoal, pen and recently she has even incorporated striking embroidery thread highlights.
“My paintings explore memory and connection: small, painted canvases are stitched onto larger fields, with embroidery elements gently spilling beyond their central panels. This process for me mirrors how life’s comforting moments extend their influence into unexpected spaces.”
