About the Maker

Isla & June

Isabel lives on her family's farm at Cecil Plans with her husband, Ed and her two year old daughter, Annie. Whilst trained as an emergency nurse, Isabel found herself searching for something to fill her cup whilst staying home to raise Annie. She started sewing dresses and little pieces for girls in the district and Isla & June was born. The name Isla & June comes from the property we live on. The previous owners were two sisters, Isla and June, who through a lot of resilience, farmed the land until their retirement. Isabel prides herself on using sustainable and quality materials that are gentle for your little loves.

Handmade with heart

It’s such fun working on sourcing gorgeous new handmade products by women across rural, regional and remote Australia. There’s so many new introductions to Wattle and Twine and I’ve experienced some serious fan girl moments in the process.. enjoy!
