Charlotte Moore
Charlotte Moore is an emerging artist who takes great inspiration from the Gold Coast hinterland. Her love of the area, its beautiful coastline and the hills which mark the transition from coast to country, inspire much of her work.
Charlotte trained as a teacher and went on to do a doctor of philosophy specialising in early years research. During the lockdowns of the pandemic, Charlotte found her way back to painting - which had always been a passion of hers.
Favouring oil paint and an impressionist style, Charlotte is inspired by time spent in the natural environment and also by places that evoke memories of happy times. Both light and colour play an important role in her paintings, conveying a sense of calm and peace that comes from being immersed in nature, while also evoking a familiarity of Gold Coast scenes and the Australian landscape.
