About the Maker

Kayla Reay Design

Based in the Illawarra region of New South Wales, Kayla is a pencil artist who designs and creates all of her products from her home studio with the help of other small Australian businesses. Kayla is proud to keep all of her products Australian made and sustainably sourced.

Kayla's deep appreciation for the natural landscape that surrounds her has been a driving force behind her artistic creations. Through purposeful pencil strokes and vibrant colours, Kayla creates artworks that celebrate the diversity within Australia's flora and fauna, especially its birdlife. "Not much makes me happier than being able to share my passion for the natural world with others through my creations!"

Handmade with heart

It’s such fun working on sourcing gorgeous new handmade products by women across rural, regional and remote Australia. There’s so many new introductions to Wattle and Twine and I’ve experienced some serious fan girl moments in the process.. enjoy!
