Alix McFarland is a creative photographer living and working on a Hay Plains sheep station in the western Riverina region of NSW, Australia.
Alix captures pure moments in time - a stockdog's focus, newly drafted lambs bouncing out of the yards, loading a truck at first light on the station, a candid greeting on the street, people living their own unique experiences, the colour of fresh produce, a nourishing plate, the action of the shearing shed, the challenges of a life's work, the scenes that make a community just that.
She specialises in people & animal portraiture, station & rural photography, documentary photography and paddock to plate produce & food imagery, as well as photographing selective events.
