Penelope’s hats are individually made by hand using quality, natural fabrics. Each hat is worked on separately with hours of care going into the creation.
Penelope Haddrill Hats is about creating headwear that is immersed in quality, individuality and attention to detail. Something that is wearable and classic but with a hint of the unexpected. Her hats can be worn casually, dressed down with jeans and trainers, to a special lunch or to a day at the races.
Penelope designs and creates her hats from home, on the broadacre farming property in Western New South Wales that she shares with her husband and three children. She grew up with a love for fabrics, designing and creating. Taught to sew by her mother, from a very young age she was designing her own outfits and tailored dresses for her mother to wear to the races, her love of fashion and textiles grew into millinery. A love of natural quality materials and creating the unique is what Penelope Haddrill Hats is about.
